“Come Get Me!” – Kelly Khumalo Dares Advocate Teffo After Explosive Claims
South African songstress and traditional healer Kelly Khumalo has finally hit back — and this time, she’s not holding back. After being repeatedly named in connection with the tragic death of her late boyfriend and Bafana Bafana star Senzo Meyiwa, Kelly has issued a public warning to Advocate Malesela Teffo: Say my name again — I dare you.
In a fiery Instagram video posted shortly after Teffo's latest appearance on the Podcast and Chill show, Kelly delivered her message with unmistakable intent. “Enough is enough. It stops here and it stops today,” she declared. “If you really believe I’m capable of what you’re accusing me of — come get me. I’m not above the law.”
It’s the kind of response many had been expecting for months. The Senzo Meyiwa murder case has dragged on for nearly a decade, with whispers, accusations, and speculations clouding every courtroom and social media post. But Kelly’s message was crystal clear — she’s tired of the blame and wants no more of it.
The backlash follows Teffo’s controversial interview aired on 17 July, where the disbarred lawyer — who once represented four of the five accused in the Meyiwa case — once again pointed fingers at Kelly. Teffo claimed, under oath, that Senzo was accidentally shot by Kelly in the midst of a heated argument over his alleged affair with her sister, Zandie Khumalo.
He went on to say the killing was a “fatal mistake” — but also bizarrely labeled the death a “sacrifice,” dragging in high-ranking police officers, politicians, and supposed syndicates. The former police officer didn’t stop there. He also revisited his own downfall: an assault conviction involving a female officer and allegations of bribery aimed at silencing him from the Meyiwa trial.
Kelly, however, is done playing silent. Her Instagram caption said it all: “Dragged from that dirty court to sketchy podcasts? You never cease to amaze me.”
For many South Africans, the question remains: what truly happened to Senzo Meyiwa on that fateful night in October 2014 at Kelly’s mother’s house in Vosloorus? Despite five men currently facing trial, public confidence in the justice system remains fragile. Years have passed, but closure still feels far away.
As for Teffo, his repeated appearances in podcasts, despite having been struck off the roll in 2002 for misconduct, only continue to fuel both interest and outrage. But Kelly's sharp, undiplomatic video message may mark a turning point — or at least, a bold new chapter in this long-running saga.
Now, all eyes turn back to the courts, as well as public platforms, where both sides continue to battle for truth, vindication, and justice — on and off the record.
What do YOU think really happened that night?
