The golden dreams of Kaizer Chiefs supporters are quickly turning into frustrated sighs—and not because of a missed penalty or a VAR decision gone wrong.
This week, the Soweto giants unveiled their highly anticipated 2025/26 home and away jerseys in partnership with KAPPA. A celebration of culture, heritage, and pride, the new kits ooze African vibrancy and fierce identity.
The club’s official message was loud and bold:
“Feel the Pride, wear your Armour & Stand With Amakhosi! The Jersey Doesn’t Just Play, It Represents!”
But while the jerseys hit all the right visual notes, fans aren’t exactly dancing to the tune.
“New jersey my foot!” That was one of the top responses flooding social media minutes after the launch. For thousands of Amakhosi supporters, the problem isn’t the threads—it’s the thin squad depth. Fans want goals, not garments. Signings, not slogans.
